CHIeru Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President & Representative Director: Mutsumi Kawai), a provider of ICT solutions for school education, today announced that it has revised its corporate philosophy as of April 21, 2026, as described below.
The environment surrounding schools is changing significantly, and there is strong demand for reforming teachers’ working practices, for digital transformation across entire schools (“School DX”), and for the use of AI. In response to these changes, CHIeru, as a manufacturer specializing in education, has revised its corporate philosophy to make clear its policy of expanding the scope of its support beyond “lessons” to “teachers’ work and school operations as a whole.”

By changing “teachers’ lessons” to “teachers,” we broaden the scope of our support from lessons to teachers and schools themselves, and make clear our commitment to helping solve the fundamental challenges facing education.
Background to the Revision
Following the GIGA School Program—Japan’s national initiative to provide every elementary and junior high school student with a learning device—what schools now need is not the introduction of individual devices but the digitalization of the entire school: “School DX.” AI has become indispensable for reforming working practices to reduce teachers’ long working hours, for delivering personalized learning, and for making use of data.
Amid these changes, the role of ICT has expanded from “supporting lessons” to “transforming school operations as a whole,” and our previous philosophy of “supporting teachers’ lessons” could no longer fully express the support that schools truly need today. This is the background to the revision.
CHIeru’s Commitment Behind the New Philosophy
Since its founding, CHIeru has provided a wide range of education ICT products, including language learning support systems and classroom support systems, to schools and boards of education throughout Japan.
As technology has evolved, we have advanced our products from on-premises to fully cloud-based solutions, and further to development that leverages generative AI, accumulating practical, field-tested expertise in AI applications such as learning-log analysis, speech recognition, and automated scoring.
By combining the deep understanding of schools that we have built through many years of working closely with educators with our in-house development capabilities, we are able to provide everything from equipment and software to operational support in an integrated manner.
Under the new philosophy, CHIeru will make the most of these strengths and aim to be a partner that supports teachers and schools on a one-stop basis—not only in the classroom, but across work-style reform, School DX, and the use of AI.
CHIeru’s Product Portfolio
CHIeru’s main product lines have been the CaLabo series of language learning and classroom support systems, the InterCLASS series of Chromebook utilization support tools, the ExtraConsole series of integrated ID management systems, the Tbridge series of wireless network visualization and stabilization systems, and the GLEXA series of learning management systems (LMS). We have now launched a new line, the TeachGear series of School DX solutions, to contribute to reforming teachers’ working practices and to School DX.
